Religion: Roman Catholicism.




HISTORY

In the beginning, Brazil was inhabited by Indians, then in 1500 was discovered by Europeans in a Portuguese expedition led by Pedro Álvares Cabral, later on September 7, 1822 became independent. His first capital was Salvador, which was replaced by Rio de Janeiro until it built a new capital, Brasilia.


GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS


Its current constitution was formulated in 1988 and defines Brazil as a Federal Republic which is formed by the union of three political entities:
  • The Federal District
  • 26 States
  • Municipalities 5565

Brazil is a democratic republic with a presidential system, the president is the head of state, elected for a term of four years.



ENVIRONMENT

The vast territory of Brazil, comprises different ecosystems, such as the Amazon, known for hosting the greatest biological diversity in the world, the Atlantic Forest and the Cerrado, which also support a rich biodiversity, for which Brazil is classified as a megadiverse country , in addition to a wide variety of climates and topography, although it can be considered that most of the country has a tropical climate.

Brazil is also famous for being a major international tourist destination in South America, ranking third in Latin America. The main sites of interest are:

• Stone Cathedral.

• The statue of Christ the Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro).

• The Cathedral of Brasilia (Heritage).

  • The Iguassu Falls (Iguazu National Park)
  • The Itaipu Dam (hydroelectric plant that produces more energy worldwide)

CULTURE


Brazilian cuisine varies greatly depending on the region. among the best dishes are:
  • The feijoada (national dish)
  • Sweets as brigadeiro and beijiño
  • Beverages such as coffee and cachaza



Football is the most popular sport in Brazil, the football team has won five times world cup football cup.
The carnival in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most important festivals of the city, which is an annual celebration that takes place forty days before easter.








ABC Federal university, is a public university located in the state of Sao Paulo (Brazil), more specifically in the city of Santo André.


ABC Federal University offers careers as:

CUBA



It is an Island country in the Caribbean Sea. Havana is the largest city in Cuba and the country’s capital. 
The Cuban ethnic groups are 65.1% White, 10.1% African, 24.8% Mulatto and Mestizo.
The local climate is tropical. The most important mineral resource is nickel, of which Cuba has the world’s second largest reserves.




GOVERNMENT:

The constitution of 1946, which defined Cuba as a socialist republic, was replaced by the Constitution of 1992, which is “guided by the ideas of José Martí and the political and social ideas of Marx, Engels and Lenin. Cuba is popular democratic country.




TOURISM:
Cuba is a good destination because of its beaches and sun but it also has significant historical and cultural sites, ecological and natural landscapes. The famous landmarks are Pinar del Río, Matanzas, Isla de la Juventud, Revolution Square and other sites.






CUBAN CUISINE:

Cuban cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, African and Caribbean cuisine. Cuban recipes share spices and techniques with Spanish and African cooking, with some Caribbean influence in spice and flavor. Typical meals consist of rice and beans, cooked together or apart. When cooked together the recipe is called either “Congri” or “Moros y cristianos” (black beans and rice). Rice and beans are a culinary element found throughout Cuba, although it varies by region.





MUSIC:

Cuban music is very rich and is the most common known expression of culture. The central form of this music is Cuban Son, which has been the basis of many other musical styles like salsa, rumba and mambo and an upbeat derivation of the rumba, the cha-cha-cha.



UNIVERSITY OF HABANA:

The Univesity of Habana is a public university located in the country´s capital of Cuba.
University of Habana offer careers of Social Science. This careers as:

·         Masters:  Social Science, Constitutional and administrative law, public international law, labor law and social security, interdisciplinary studies on Latin America, Cuba and the Caribbean, political and social studies, contemporary history and international relations and sociology.


I want study in this university because I like the government of this island. Therefore I think that the opportunity of study the master in political and social studies is a good experience for my training. 

Foreign citizens permanently resident in the country can enter the higher education institutions according to the same laws approved for Cuban citizens.
Foreign citizens entering the higher education institutions as agreed in the agreements signed and ratified by the governments of their respective countries.

ARGENTINA



ARGENTINA




Argentina is a country located in South America. Buenos Aires is the Capital and one of the most important metropolises of the American continent. They have 40 million people and its population is constituted for a 79% from different European ethnic groups, 18% of different ethnicities Amerindian, and 4.3% of African Argentinian. Its currency is the Argentinean Peso.
Argentina has a variety of climates. In general, the climate is predominantly temperate, but extends from subtropical in the north and a sub polar in the far south. They have a variety of landscapes, whether sea, mountain ranges, glaciers, deserts, steppes, etc...

Government
The Constitution of 1853 established a system of representative government, republican and federal, that has been maintained by all constitutional amendments made ​​since then. Argentina has a representative democratic government, which is elected by the citizens and that is from the state model from the Executive, Legislative and Judicial.






Tourism

Argentina is a great touristic site due to their cities, landscapes, geography and cultures, which are recognized by those who want to, know this country. Some touristic sites to visit Argentina are The Iguazu falls, Buenos Aires City, Andes and coastal cities like Mar del Plata, Bahia Blanca or Puerto Madryn.

Food
Argentina's cuisine stands out primarily for beef and wines, Argentiniantypical food is roasted or grilled (meat and cow innards cooked on the grill), its drink feature is an infusion prepared with Pre Columbian maté leaves (South America native plant) called mate.

Music
Tango is a musical style and a dance born in the suburbs locals, strongly linked with Argentina and Uruguay, but especially with Buenos Aires, becoming the highest representative of the Argentina culture abroad. Also, Argentina is known for the variety of traditional dances as possessing pericon, zambas, cuecas, chacareras, chamarritas, chamamés, malambo and now, with rhythms like Rock or romantic ballad.

Sports
Football is the most popular sport in Argentina, which is the most passionate and practiced within the country, being recognized abroad as one of the best in practice and in training players. Sport emblem of the country is the Pato, which is similar to Polo. It is practiced since the seventeenth century. Other sports with equal appreciation are Tennis, Boxing, Auto Racing, Rugby and Hockey.

Festivals 
The most important holiday in Argentina is the national day, it is held on May 25 commemorating the possession of the first independent government of Argentina in 1810. On June 20 is celebrated the Flag Day, it commemorates the death of Belgrano. On July 9 is the Independence Day with the Act of autonomy from Spain. They also have religious celebrations, whether Christian as Holy Week or other religions like Jewish orIslamicethnic. 





Religion
The Catholic religion is the most important religion of Argentina and this is part to the Argentinian Culture for his history and legacy during the Spanish Colonialism.Today, although officially 90% of Argentinians are Catholic, fewer than 20% attend church regularly. Other religions that have the country are the Christians, Jewish, Muslims, Buddhist and agnostics.

ARGENTINA (Sebastian)

1. The Rosario National University (Universidad Nacional de Rosario) is located on Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. This City is a of the cities most important of country.

2. I desire to go to this University because this City is beautiful and there, I know to some friends and families also for the career and university that I can pay and work for my education.

3. The University to offer some career as Engeenaries, Sciences, Humanities, Arts, Political Science and International Relations also they offer specializations on posgrate and doctorate.

4. The career that I choose is Political Science because I want deepen on my knowledge and I be a better Political scientist

5. The University is public and free to the students that realized a career previously to the career that I desire presents. This acts are valids for whatever student National or abroad. This is recurrent on the Argentinian's universities public.

6. The Political Science career on this University have a during for 2 or 4 years used for conference, investigation, classes and final investigations for grade.

7. The cost to go to study in Argentina perhaps free because your education on public universities is free and economic to the students that are of low income. The cost during the career perhaps on the residence, food, transport, academics supplies and others.

8. I don't know if they offer schoolarships to the abroad students that want study on the university. I think that needed more information for to know if they have academic help or university welfare.

9.  In the university, they have dorms for the students that don't are of the town. This dorms have roommates that for be foreign or live in a economic place, they are better way to live and study in the university.
There are also families houses that are economics and near to the campus. 

10. For admission to university as a foreign student, you need to have the validation of career same to what you want to study (political science), process foreign (being south american citizen, do not be as rigorous as documented by agreements with Mercosur), legal and consular documentation. Finally, you need to perform the steps of admission, as the purchase of the examination and other requirements of registration, and if exchange, only the choice of steps of foreign.


ARGENTINA: (Mateo)

The university is located in his capital Buenos Aires. I want to go to this university because in this country can offer me different thoughts about the political problem that my country and the global society have. The university have faculties like:
social sciences, economics, Philosophy, Psychology,

Law, Medicine and much other faculties.I chose a Master Degree in 
 Latinoamerican 
Social  studies. The university is Public. The master degree have a during of two years. In the UBA this has a cost of 
 1800 per year.
I havent information about the scholarships but i know that in a program like a Master degree in  Latinoamerican Social studies have a cost, because is a Master.
The university offer a kind accomodation of dorms for students that no are of the city, have roommates foreigns.
The admission is a process very difficult because you have a exam about you knowledge of the topic of your study. And other things but the first is the most important. And the normal step like the registration.



NATIONAL UNIVERSITY SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO (Jessica)

I choose Master's Degree in Forestry in the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO in Argentina because is the continuity of my career. 

About this program I know that: As the Forestry sector en Argentine is so relevant in this country, this program in this University is focused in educate people for that they are the protagonists for the change's world. The master's degree is focused in three points: Investigation, teaching and solving problems.


About this University I know that was founded in 1973, is a public University, have more or less 11000 students and is located in the Santiago del Estero Province.

The University offer different careers in four faculties:

- College of Agriculture and Agro-Industries 
- Faculty of Sciences and Technology
- Faculty of Forestry
- Faculty of humanities, social sciences and health 
- School of Agriculture, animal husbandry and Farm

 I want to study in this University becuase is located in a  excellent latin american country; because is expert in Forestry and  because is focused in innovate forestry proccess.

The cost of the career is in total 3.206.410 and the during of the career is 2 years.

I intend to finance my education with a scholarship that offer the University for foreigners. But the Country offer some scholarship too.

The UNSE has 5 types of grants distributed in the following categories:
- Intellectual Merit Scholarship
- Financial Aid Scholarship
- Average Grant Financial Aid
- Accommodation Scholarship
- Fellowship Dining
The country offer:

And the requirements are: First, be graduated from universities with Forestry engineering, Forest Industry, Natural Resources, Agronomy, BA in Ecology, biologists and related careers as analysis of the Academic Committee. And second, to pay English proficiency test aimed that applicants possess a level of understanding of scientific texts according to the demands of postgraduate study
